Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya is a sprinter athlete of Lithuanian nationality, originally from Russia, who participates in the 100m and 200m events, in addition to the 4x100m relay. She represented Russia until June 29, 2012, and became eligible to compete for Lithuania in National Representative Competitions starting June 30, 2021. She is recognized as a national medalist and is considered one of the most gifted athletes in the country.
Born on August 17, 2002, Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya began her journey in athletics during her childhood, honing her abilities in sprinting.
Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya commenced her competitive career in 2019, taking part in the Moskva Russian Indoor Championships and the Cheboksary Russian Championships, although she did not advance to the finals in either event. Nevertheless, during that season, she secured a gold medal in the 300m and a silver medal in the 4x200m at the Moskva Student Stars competitions, and she also reached the final at the Volgograd Russian U18 Indoor Championships, where she finished in 6th place.
In 2020, Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya participated solely in the indoor season, engaging in the Volgograd Russian U20 Indoor Championships and the St. Petersburg Russian U23 Indoor Championships, yet she did not qualify for the finals. Nevertheless, she advanced to the finals at the Moskva Student Stars competitions, where she secured a 6th place finish.
In 2021, Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya achieved a silver medal in the 4x200m event at the Bryansk Russian Cup. She also took part in the Bryansk Russia Team Championships, Ufa Russian U20 Championships, and Moskva U20 Indoor Championships, but did not reach the finals.
Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya earned her first junior medal from national championships in 2022, claiming the bronze in the 4x400m relay at the Kazan Russian U23 Championships. Throughout the season, she competed in the Cheboksary Russian Championships, Kazan Russian U23 Championships, and Moskva Russian Indoor Championships, but once again failed to qualify for the finals and contend for medals. She secured silver medals in the 400m hurdles at the Moskva U23 Regional Championships and the Bryansk Russian Cup.
In 2023, Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya achieved her first national medal, winning silver in the 4x100m relay at the Chelyabinsk Russian Championships. Additionally, she earned gold in the 4x100m relay at the Zhukovskiy Russian Cup and bronze medals in the 400m hurdles at both the Moskva Sprint Festival and the Moskva Znamensky Brothers Memorial. She also participated in the Moskva Russian Indoor Championships and Ulyanovsk Russian U23 Indoor Championships in the 200m, as well as the Yekaterinburg Russian U23 Championships and Chelyabinsk Russian Championships in the 100m, but did not reach the finals.
Yelizaveta Chermoshanskaya continue performing strongly in 2024, winning the bronze at the Yekaterinburg Russian Championships in 4x100m relay. Meanwhile, during the season she won the 200m gold at the Bryansk Russian U23 Championships and 200m bronze at the A.V. Ignatiev Memorial.
