Rebekka Hauri, also known as Bekka Hauri, was born on November 12, 1998 in Berne, Switzerland. She has been passionate about sports since childhood. She began ballet dancing at the age of five. After trying out a few other dance styles, she turned to volleyball at the age of 14. She attended the Hofwil Gymnasium. In 2014, she and her team won the U17 Super League, and two years later, they finished third in the U19 Super League. She also played for VBC Gerlafingen.
Due to her athletic achievements, she received a visa to the USA and studied biology at Coppin State University in Baltimore. There, she played for the Coppin State Eagles (2018–2022). In her freshman year, Bekka Hauri appeared in all 32 matches as a defensive specialist and also saw time at libero. She finished the season with 139 digs (1.31 per set), to go with 25 service aces, ten assists and a pair of kills. In her Sophomore, Rebekka Hauri was reliable back-row player and serving specialist who appeared in 27 matches and 57 sets. She tallied 13 digs and 14 aces on the season. In her senior year, she appeared in 24 sets over 17 matches as a reserve defensive and serving specialist. She finished with 15 digs, four aces and an assist.
Rebekka Hauri was transferred to Rollins College, where they finished second in the Mid-Eastern Conference in the 2020/21 season and third in the 2021/22 season. During her studies, she completed a master’s degree in public health. In the following 2022/23 season, she joined BBSC Berlin, where the club immediately finished third in the 2nd Bundesliga North. In the 2024/25 season, she returned to her hometown to join Volley Koniz in the National League B.
